We have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, self motivated Assistant manager to join our management team in our new restaurant opening soon in Solihull!
First established in London back in the summer of '98, giraffe have now grown to 37 restaurants, nationwide with more on the way! There are exciting times & opportunities ahead for the right candidates and working at giraffe is fun as we don't take ourselves too seriously but take what we do very seriously and several awards later we have a reputation for not only great food but great service too.

The Assistant manager's role & responsibilities:
- Able to inspire, motivate and lead a team and maintain quality, consistency & speed of service in our busy restaurant operation
- Assist in recruitment of new employees & a strong understanding UK employment law
- Ability to train, coach & motivate a large team and assist in the appraisals
- Consistently control & deliver financial results and profitability against budgets
- Able to manage a large team, working under pressure and deliver giraffe's core values
- Comply with all current legislation relating to Health & Safety, Food Hygiene and the Licensing Law
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills both internally and externally
- Possess excellent planning & organisation skills
- Must have an confident, assertive, approachable and motivating personality

- Self motivated, flexible and ambitious
The Candidate must have:
- A proven track record in assistant manager, leadership and commitment
- A thorough understanding of the casual dining market
- A minimum of 1-2 years continuous service required in a management role in a similar working environment
- Proof of eligibility to work in the UK*
- Written references upon request
- Evidence of a valid National Insurance card*
- Applicants should be available for interview and trial (if required) and also be ready to start within 4 weeks.
